Deep Purple Cowl

This is how this cowl started out, but I thought this purple was too bright and overpowering.

I could not find a deeper purple worsted in my stash, but came across some thread in the perfect color. I double-stranded the thread and I was liking the more muted highlights. The deeper purple really compliments the shifting hues in the Lion Brand Color Waves.

Project name – Deep Purple by The Osmonds – is related to the color of this project, is a reference to my youth and my first grade friend, the recipient of this gift.

Here is my recipe:

Yarn A: Lion Brand Color Waves (Fiber Content: 83% Acrylic, 17% Polyester; Yarn Color: 347 Purple Vista; Yarn Weight: 5, Bulky)
Yarn B: Brushed Thread (Fiber Content: Unknown [Cotton]; Yarn Color: Unknown [Purple]; Yarn Weight: [Thread])
Needle: US 10 – 6.0 mm

Provisional cast on 30 stitches with yarn A (bulky for me) on circular size 10 – 6.0 mm needle.

Slide stitches to opposite needle (needle you just knitted from).

Knit row with yarn B (thread for me)

skein tails should both be on same side…turn work

Repeat [PATTERN] to desired length

Slide stitches to opposite needle (needle you just knittted from)
Knit row with yarn B (thread for me)
Skein tails should both be on same side…turn work ]

Knit 1 more row with yarn A (bulky for me).

Arrange stitches on needles for garter kitchener

Graft ends together with yarn B (thread for me)

Sew in ends
