Mojo's Costume

I was going to finish The Girl From Ipanema Goes To Greenland shawlette today, but I received the string lights for Mojo’s Halloween costume.

Unfortunately, I am short a string!

Fortunately, I have money today to order another in time for Halloween delivery.

Unfortunately, I already broke one string.

Fortunately, they are going to send me a replacement with my current order.

Now after having strung the lights once, I realize a battery pack under the spider belly might be better than letting the battery capsules hang from the spider legs.Save

I am in love with this project because of the look, the colors, the tension and the memories of Peanuts cartoons – it reminds me of Charlie Brown’s shirt. Actually, I just visited the Peanuts website and realized that Charlie Brown’s shirt would be solid with a zig zag black stripe. I guess I can add one more project to my queue.

Coincidentally, as I sat down to post this project, I started my iTunes and the first song that came up was Thriller by Michael Jackson, so I guess I can create another Halloween-themed object. Now that I am in Halloween mode, I am thinking of doing a ghosty cowl – perhaps in tapestry crochet; it depends on how long it will take to design.
