Man On The Street

2019-04-27: back-dated post for accuracy of posterity sake

I remember mom asking me if I could duplicate the hat of a man who walked our neighborhood – the “man on the street.” The had had to be machine double knit with a very fine yarn, something beyond my skill set at the moment. This was even before I even knew about pattern sources either.

So, the whole hat had to be improvised. Mine is a bit chunky, but I think I did a pretty good job, except for the pom-pom – I hate making pom-poms – for that matter, fine-tune finishing.
