Cloudy Nights

2019-04-29: Reconstructed post for posterity sake; back-dated for accuracy

This project I remember quite well because I made it during an all-expenses-paid vacation to visit my friend Tania, who had just purchased a home on the Rogue River in Trail, Oregon.

It was one of the most beautiful places I’d ever visited in my life; the beauty really impression me: from the wildlife grazing through the residential neighborhoods to the creepy bus stops made from plywood sheets. I experience my first buttered rum, visited my first alpaca farm, visited my first LYS (Local Yarn Store), and purchased my first natural fiber yarn.

Without a pattern, I think this scarf came out excessively long. I was still a newbie, which explains the bowing of the scarf also.

Pattern: Scarf to Crochet by Bernat Design Studio

So, I did have a pattern. Now I am thinking, after having view the pattern image, that I thought the scarf was too short and improvised additional length. Additionally, there may have been an issue with the different weights.

Dimensions: 6 feet x 3 inches
Hook: US J-Hook (6.00 mm)
