Hibi Chick Bag

2019-05-31: Reconstructed post for posterity sake; back-dated for accuracy

I remember designing this, creating my own chart from which I crocheted the hibiscus into the bag. Just as well, I had no budget for yarn at the time, I would’ve made for sale and it may never have sold, like the majority of stuff I made.¬†Then again my dimensions were ridiculous; just take a look at that small bag on my monstrous back!

The whole idea had been sparked by a big pouch bag a Wicked Knitta had made for herself. She had felted it and it had come out hella COUTURE! I wanted to know, at least, that I could make one for myself if I really wanted. So I set to graphically designing bag to my single crochet method et voila!

Date: June 5-10, 2011
Dimensions: 8-inch diameter X 8.5-inch height
Hook: US H/8 (5.0 mm)

The Yarns

Spinnerin Sweater & Afghan
Color: Fluorescent Orange; Content: 100% Acrylic; Weight: 4, Worsted Weight

Unknown Red Bouclé

Aha! Brushed. I saw the reference in the Ravelry yarn description. No wonder it seemed so light and stretchy.
