Frankly, Scarlett, I Don’t Give A Damn: Off da Hook

Frankly Scarlett, I Don't Give A Damn

The Name

I chose this name because of the association between Scarlett and the color red in the afghan, and because of the pattern name “Absolutely” Gorgeous, and absolutely referring to not giving a damn. 😀

The Afghan

Pattern: Absolutely Gorgeous by Terry Kimbrough from Leisure Arts #108213, Crochet with Heart Best Loved Afghans
Dimensions: 45 x 61 inches
Hook Size: US H
On da Hook: June 24-September 17, 2011

I fell in love with this afghan after I saw it in the book. There is one other afghan in the book that I would love to make also, but I have not yet acquired the yarn for the project. I would like to make it as a complete project, rather than piece-meal.

The Yarn

Unlabeled Red
Color: Unknown; Content: Unknown; Weight: Unknown

Feza Baby
Color: 15330; Content: Acrylic; Weight: 2, Sport Weight

Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice
Color: Cranberry, Content: 100% Acrylic; Weight: 4, Aran Weight

I estimated the unlabeled red to be about a worsted weight yarn and comprised of man-mad fibers. The Feza, was bought primarily for the color. I don’t remember if I even noticed the indicated weight difference.
