The Original Hooker Notes
On The Hook: December 13, 2011-February 11, 2012
Hook Size: US G Hook
Pattern: Midsummer Night’s Shawl by Lisa Naskrent from Interweave Crochet, Summer 2010
I was a big fan until I got to row 8 of the border, which states “work 7 to 8 dc in each ch5-sp taking care that work rem flat, ending with a multiple of 17 dc…”
I was lucky enough to end up with a multiple of 17 by working 7 dc in each ch5-sp, but when both times I attempted to work from pattern, I ended up with extra stitches.
Just wanting to end this project, I made up my own border, which I live even bettah!
2020 Hooker Notes
- All I can really remember about Holly Golightly, was that one year I gifted her to KTia, as she is a fan of red. I seem to remember her suggesting the yarn was a rayon.
- I have discovered, or it finally sank in, that red is mother’s favorite color.
- I also seem to remember that I had a hard time with my counting on this project; as such, I could not crochet the correct border.
- I have no recollection where I obtained the yarn. My best guess is Newton’s Yarn Country Parking Lot Sale.
