My knitting guild, El Segundo Slipt Stitchers, needed a new “secret communication” box, as the old one was lost. I volunteered to make a can with a cozy for identification.

The actual item appears to be missing an S in ESSS. This confusion was over the name. I could not recall if slitpstitchers was one word or two words. I don’t remember how the name of the guild was being written in 2013. Today the website displays El Segundo Slipt Stitchers (ESSS). I still do not like “slipt;” it’s too archaic, reminding me of ugly, old-fashioned styles.

The Yarn

Scrap gold and red of undetermined fibers, thought most likely, acrylics.
