Flowers On The Wall

The Name

Flowers On The Wall by The Statler Brothers

While the first thought that came to mind was Gryffindor, but in keeping with my naming conventions, I went with Flowers On The Wall, as the colors remind me of a sunflower.

The Scarf

Dimensions: 4 x 64 inches

Knit cast-on of nine stitches, worked in garter, alternating colors every two rows throughout. I might add fringe as I have an excess of yellow.

The Yarn

Lion Brand Hometown USA
Color: 219 Norfolk Merlot & 158 Pittsburgh Yellow; Content: 100% Acrylic; Weight: Super Bulky

I love this yarn for it’s softness and twist/ply. However, I won’t buy again unless I check the yardage. I had the yellow from a friend donation. I went JOANN‘s to buy a complimentary color. I did not notice until I got home that the yardage was different on the new skein: 64 merlot yards versus 84 yellow yards.

The perfect comment on modern economics: the cost of stuff keeps going up and they are giving us less. Disgusting!
