The Name

Africa by Toto

I was going to use Marrakesh Express, a la the yarn color name – but that name has already been used. Surprisingly, I had no Toto in my music library, so I had go download Africa for this post.

The Poncho

Dimensions: One Size fits S-2XL
Destination: Charity
Pattern: Venetian Blind by Vicki Robinson

It’s been a while since I made a poncho – Hotel California (2014). With “feathers being the subject of El Segundo Slipt Stitchers knitting guild quarter two knit-a-long/crochet-a-long, I went stash diving for all my old feathery/furry yarns, although after this one, I think I need a break.

I knit in pattern, though one would never know with all that “extra.” I also alternated between three different skeins on every row to prevent pooling accidents.

The Yarn

Fiesta Flirt

    1. Thank you! 😉 I used an US 13 needle which alleviated “hair pulling.” I really did not encounter any difficulty. I think the polyester strands just slide against themselves. There were issues with “hair bunching,” but I just plowed through and let the yarn lay as it should.
