I’ve decided to use my El Segundo Slipt Stitchers sit ‘n’ knit time to work on my ESSS year-long afghan KAL/CAL. I took me a second to decide on my design, but once I had it, I knew this was it. I received a bunch of worsted scraps from CSNanaCat, so additional squares will be forthcoming in different colors.
At sit ‘n’ stitch yesterday I became concerned that the squares are too small, but when I seem them together, and after bordering and seaming, they should make a decent twelve-inch square. Even as I type this, I am thinking of frogging them and combining their yarns to make the bigger square. WAIT! No, because then my stripes would be wider.
KTia suggested border with a black/white gradient yarn, which I kind of like, though, I am leaning more towards a brown of some sort because I am Mexican.
