The Bag

Dimensions: 42.5 x 40 inches
Pattern: Carry-All Bag One Skein Wonder by Ashlea Konecny
Hook Size: US I
On The Hook: December 14, 2018-April 23, 2020

I had specifically made the bag three times the pattern size because I was going to felt and expected some shrinking. Well, I don’t think it shrank much; the flat dimensions, being 35 x 105 inches.

Additionally, after two washes I did not notice much felting. After I threw it into the dryer, with Gypsy Woman and a pair of crocs, I noticed more felting, but still I am left with a mammoth bag, and I already have one: Under The Bridge!

I tried to use only scraps that I had laying around, but the bag was so big, I had to dive into my stash and use some of my better stuff just to complete this. Additionally, I had been measuring during crochet of the flat, and could not believe it when I got to the last twenty inches. I kept measuring and measuring, yet when it came to folding the bag up, I had an excess and ended up with a need to frog the last twenty inches I had just crocheted. Aiyaa!
