Lady Killer

Lady Killer

The Name

Lady Killer by The Vandals

Seemed to be the perfect sister to Dark Lady.

Lady Killer

The Shawl

Dimensions: 82-inch horizon x 32-inch depth
Made For: El Segundo Slipt Stitcher’s charities or Sale, which ever comes first

I was so tired of double crochets with such a light weight yarn. Glad I stopped when I did; I had no idea how big it was until I measured it! Crocheted all in double crochet.

I was worried, because it is very flimsy, that the structure would not hold, so I was considering adding a felted collar, as an acquaintance of mine had done previously to one of her shawls. As I was finishing the border – two double crochet together (2dctog) in each stitch, and two rows of single crochet (sc) across the horizon, I felt confident that structure was secure and I was finally able to be done with Lady Killer after a two-year hiatus, waiting for the right color(s)(ed) yarn.

Some times you just have to wait for the right color. Well, it took approximately two years, but it finally arrived in the name of Lana Grossa Capri. I was going to use Capri alone, but Lady Killer resurfaced, I thought it would work in a manual ombre with the Dark Mauve of the Bonnie Triola Cottontale 8.
